Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme to take over bus minibus routes No. 233, 233a and 247 on June 10

On June 10 Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme will fully take over the minibus routes operated by SIA Centība N, which means that these routes will be operated by a new carrier.

Rīgas satiksme informs that as of June 10 minibuses No. 233, 233a and 247 will run according to new schedules on workdays and holidays. The price of tickets on the above minibus routes will be LVL 0.50, which means that on route No. 247 it will be cut from LVL 0.60 down to LVL 50. Furthermore, e-tickets for a certain number of trips will be valid on the three above mentioned minibus routes.

At the same time, it should be emphasised that none of the discounts granted by Riga City Council will be effective in minibuses, and pupils, students, pensioners and disabled persons of group 3 will have to buy tickets at full price. The only exception is those passengers entitled to the discounts granted by the state. i.e. disabled persons of groups 1 and 2, disabled persons under the age of 18 years, as well as persons accompanying disabled persons of group 1 or disabled persons under the age of 18 years.

There will be also minor changes on minibus routes No. 233 and 233a. On June 10 their terminal will be transferred from the minibus station (MTS) to Elizabetes Street. Also minibuses No. 233a and 233 will run by the same route near the Salu Bridge. It’s planned that the remaining minibus routes will be gradually taken over in 2013.
